Yeah she did! 👊🏼👊🏾👊🏻👊🏿👊🏽 To everyone how keeps showing up, every day, every year, every moment, every election, to change how we treat each other, to voice opposition, to voice support, to voice love, to represent the future. Thank you. We are the future. ▫️ #thefutureisfemale
A year ago today... I marched
I made history
I became an activist
I spoke against hate
I chose love
I chose empathy
I exercised my right to protest
I chose me
I spoke my truth
I showed my son what it means to stand up for what you believe in.
I lost friends
I lost acquaintances
I lost family
I felt hate
I was ridiculed
Nevertheless, I persisted
I will remember the passion, hope, love, acceptance, persistence, sisterhood, and happiness I felt on that day for the rest of my life.
I felt the presence of the brave women before me who fought for equality and my right to vote.
I am part of a movement, a resistance, that inspired more women to run for office, to demand equal pay, share their stories of sexual harassment, and empowered more women to speak their truth.
I am PROUD to be a #nastywoman

Every crack is also an opening. When in the midst of great change, it is helpful to remember how a chick is born. From the view of the chick, it is a terrifying struggle. Confined and curled in a dark shell, half-formed, the chick eats all its food and stretches to the contours of its shell. It begins to feel hungry and cramped. Eventually, the chick begins to starve and feels suffocated by the ever-shrinking space of its world. Finally, its own growth begins to crack the shell, and the world as the chick knows it is coming to an end. Its sky is falling. As the chick wriggles through the cracks, it begins to eat its shell. In that moment—growing but fragile, starving and cramped, its world breaking—the chick must feel like it is dying. Yet once everything it has relied on falls away, the chick is born. It doesn't die, but falls into the world. — mark nepo
This kid is going to be a force to behold when he grows up! #womansmarch
sometimes the simplest and best
use of our will is to drop it all and
just walk out from under everything
that is covering us, even if only for
an hour or so—just walk out from
under the webs we've spun, the tasks
we've assumed, the problems
we have to solve.
they'll be there when we get back,
and maybe some of them will fall apart
without our worry to hold them up. — mark nepo
Most phenomenal weekend: marching with my sisters ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿, dancing with my ambulance fam 🚑, and gearing up to cheer on my birds 🦅🏈🦅
Had a fantastic day with these two amazing and empowered women at the Philly Women's March! Quote of the day: "We will no longer accept the things we cannot change, we will change the things we cannot accept!" #womensmarch#philly#powerfulwomen#lovetrumpshate
