All I can think about this week is competing!! Last season was full of so much growth for me in this world of Natural Bodybuilding! There are just so many wonderful things to be said about many of the Natural Federations. 😍 I have had the pleasure of competing at the pro level in a few now! My OCB Pro card was the 1st I won in Nov 2016. My 1st OCB pro show was the Pro Yorton Cup this last October where I took the overall Bikini title and won $3,500!! It was such a fun show! I am soooooooooo excited and committed to defending that title at the 2018 Yorton Cup in DC! I’ve NEVER been a morning person. If I wasn’t up this morning doing cardio I would totally have been in bed and I could easily sleep in an extra hour. But today I started my morning cardio routine and it felt great. Okay it didn’t feel great actually until about 20 loooonnnngggg minutes into it when I realized I was going to make it. The first 3 minutes of cardio felt like 30 minutes. I got it done though. I don’t know if it will get easier because it seems like once my body gets used to something I have to change it up a little to see myself progress. Anyway I’m entering week 2 of my training and I’m getting a lot more confident that I can managed this contest prep the way I’m doing it with my work and family life.
Another off-season means once again a massive push to shape these glutes/hammies and with 3 leg sessions a week in my latest programs from @jesscoate I'm feelin ready and motivated to get to work. As frustrating as it is to know I poured everything I had into developing my legs last year for them still to remain my weakness, out of our struggles grow our strengths. Good evening! Decided to take a break from yoga and sorts and hit up the gym. I actually injured my left hamstring and glute from a very fun class I take at my yoga studio called KettleBooty! I guess I worked my booty a little too much, left side especially. 😂Tonight I did some upper body and a lot of light stretches and lower body movements to get everything feeling better. I think it’s working. Phew! Well I’m starving time to feast! Have about 110carbs left for dinner. Yummmmmm!

I’m actually the worst sick person because I avoid sickness like there’s no tomorrow and when I get sick I get all “WTF, how dare you” but I have a kid and they drag all this shit home.
Back home, back to reality, and already missing VA Beach but moves need to be made! School and prep are both quickly approaching and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little overwhelmed. Fitting in a full school schedule, commuting an hour and 20 minutes to and from school everyday, working to make ends meet, AND prep. It's all coming at me full force. It's a lot on my plate but these are things that need to get done and I'm determined. I'm going to do the best I can and keep a strong mindset. Obstacles don't last forever but they do help shape how you handle situations and build your strength. LIVE your life and try things. If you fail that's OK! I'm honestly more afraid of the unknown, wondering what could've happened. You can walk away saying your tried. ☝🏼 Everything you want lies on the other side of fear.

Main focus in improving has been delts, glutes and hammies! About 8 weeks and 10lb difference! It takes time to improve your physique however with proper training, activation and food intake you can make adequate changes! Excited to see everything unfold over the next 20 weeks!😬💪🏽
It takes 4 weeks for you to notice your body changing, 8 weeks for your friends, and 12 weeks for the rest of the world!
Give yourself 12 weeks and then you won't be able to turn back!

Real talk. When I say my body has been all over the place, I’m not playin. I’ve never shared any progress pictures on social media, ever, and this is for a reason. I know I’m too prideful, and it’s a downfall. From being skinny, to too lean, to thick, to soft, to overweight, to toned; 105lbs to 151lbs! Body comp is not synonymous with health- that’s for sure. Not many people know that I’ve had some pretty hard rebounds post comp; and needless to say, I’m in the up from one recently. Emotional health is just as important as your physical health, and when you’re emotionally healthy you will take a whole new approach to your lifestyle choices. Get your mind right, get your body right. Don’t make excuses. Life will always happen and there will never be a perfect time. God, friends, and keeping my passion alive are my anchors. — With that being said, I’m DETERMINED to achieve what I’ve set my mind to. It will happen. It’s been too long, and I know the one thing that sets the successful people apart from the not so successful is the ability to remain consistent. Don’t get comfortable, ever! #transformationtuesday because dang 🔥 this lil mama made some serious changes — physical, mental, and spiritual changes. my biggest tip for anyone just starting out? educate yourself, spend time reading and learning, and if you can’t find the answer, reach out to a resource you feel comfortable asking questions. when I started lifting, I was such a noob. I saved and pinned video after video after video on Instagram & YouTube, and I read endless articles. I asked ten million questions. but I made it, and I learned.

Stephanie came to me stuck and frustrated. She wasn't seeing results with her current regimen and wasn't sure where to go from there. Her nutrition was all over the place, she didn't have a structured plan, and she was tired of putting in the work and not seeing the results she most wanted! -
Fast forward to today! She's eating more food then ever, training for specificity, and CRUSHING an even higher level of success then she ever thought was possible! She has learned a process that works specifically for HER body! 2018 she will be doing something that she never though was possible and will compete in her first bikini competition! I am truly blessed to call myself her coach and bring her to a whole new level of BAD ASS! -
